Frequently Asked Questions

We are so glad you’ve become a part of our community. Below are some of our most frequently-asked questions, but feel free to get in touch below if you have additional questions that are not answered in our FAQs.

  • Community is one of our key pillars at GROW. We believe that the journey through life s easier and more fun with support. We start our classes with a quick “check in” so that each person attending can say hi and have the chance to ask a question or share how they are feeling.

  • IN PERSON CLASSES: We have mats and props to borrow, or you can bring your own. Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable fitted clothing.

ONLINE CLASSES: You’ll want to have a yoga mat or similar non-slip exercise mat. It’s also good to think about what kind of household items you could use as a yoga block (a big book, or a water bottle, or a few pillows stacked) so that you can make some stretches more accessible.

  • Yes – please preregister for all classes whether they are in person or online.

  • Let’s be honest - babies and kids are NOT quiet! And we can’t guarantee that GROW classes will be quiet either. Babies will definitely make noise and kids will play in class.

If you are bringing a bigger kiddo, bring toys to entertain them and talk to them about being peaceful in class. We do ask that if your child starts yelling/crying or won’t settle into quiet play that you step outside of the class until they calm down.

For parents with babies, feel free to feed your baby in the middle of class, change a diaper, or stand and bounce them if we don’t have a volunteer there to help. Please take care of your family’s needs, so that any disruption of class can be soothed. Our classes just keep going through the baby noise.

  • Membership is BY FAR the most cost-effective way to attend classes at GROW. We’ve seen that membership leads to more consistency and we know that students who regularly come to classes are healthier and happier. Also, members can attend our GROW STRONG weekly class for free, plus have access to our content library of over 200 recorded classes.

  • Yep! One registration covers the pregnant person plus a partner for our childbirth education, newborn care, comfort measures and sibling prep classes. If you’re going to take most of these classes, you may want to consider our unlimited mtembership which takes 25% off all workshops! Some insurance companies reimburse for birth classes (Blue Cross Blue Shield VT Better Beginnings Program is one example), so be sure to ask!

  • Signing up a Sibling? Use code SIBLINGDISCOUNT on the second registration for 20% off. Please note, parents/guardians participate in all classes for up to age 5 unless a different arrangement is made with the teacher.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration before the start of the second class and receive a refund minus the cost of the first class and a 5% fee. After the second class there are no refunds or credits for cancellations.

Make Up Policy: You are invited to make up missed classes in any other kids class or in one of our adult classes. You do not need to schedule your make up, you can just show up and let the teacher know you are doing a make up. Make ups MUST be completed by the end of the session.

  • We recognize that the United States is built on centuries of racial injustice. We acknowledge the appropriation of land from indigenous peoples, the forced unpaid labor of black people, and the countless other historical injustices experienced by the racially marginalized. We acknowledge the racialized oppression that still rages around us.

As a part of our commitment to be actively anti-racist, we offer a need-blind discount on classes, memberships and childbirth education to anyone who self-identifies as BIPOC. We will never profile you, even for a discount. If you would like to accept this discount, please do so by adding the code “BIPOC” at checkout to receive 30% off.
